“The Perfect Gift” Portraiture

The Perfect Gift

PORTRAITS OF YOUR OBJEJCTS

In putting together my project “The Perfect Gift”, my inspiration has been Italian artist Giorgio Morandi, whose Still Life works are minimalist, abstract and intimate.  The objects he used were meaningful to him, and he worked on them his whole career.  He even buried them during the war, so they would survive the bombs.

So, perhaps you have a piece of china, pottery or glass that you would like me to create a still life portrait of.   You may have an heirloom, an object that speaks to you, or a family member, a personal favourite that I would be happy to render on paper to canvas.  Small to large, and everything in between, let me create a work of art, that is special to you.

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

After living in the United States for more than thirty years I have now settled in London. Most of my art education was in America and partly in Canterbury, England.  My artistic projects have included a series of paintings featuring restaurants and cafes under the heading “Dining Out in Princeton”, followed by “With a Viewer” which is based on images collected from my travels in the USA, Singapore, England, Scotland, France and Italy.  A further project was an illustration of John Keats’ The Eve of St. Agnes which I exhibited in two live performances of a reading of the poem..   My next venture will be called “The Perfect Gift”.   This will consist of Still Lifes featuring treasured pieces of ceramic, pottery and glass.   If you have an heirloom or a favourite family piece that you would like to commemorate in watercolour to oils I would be delighted to provide this service.
